KNÓSIS, is diligently monitoring reports from the CDC to ensure we have the most updated information related to protocols, initiatives and recommendations, and that we are prepared to respond quickly and effectively to keep you and our employees safe.
KNÓSIS ENTRY: All individuals are screened for COVID 19 symptoms (dry cough, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, headache, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of smell, or taste) and asked about their potential exposure before arriving for their session. Employees and clients have their temperature checked upon entry.
ELEVATOR AND WAITING AREA: Social distancing measures are enforced. Only 2 people are allowed in the elevator at one time. Only 3 people are allowed in the waiting room. We ask that you arrive as close to the time of your visit and go straight to your private treatment room or Pilates station.
SESSION TIME: All in-person Physical Therapy sessions are 40-45 minutes and Pilates sessions are 50-55 minutes and scheduled on the hour to allow for cleaning. Our cleaning protocol is thorough, as our therapists and instructors need sufficient time to clean and disinfect equipment between clients.
MASKS: Per NYC guidelines, masks are mandatory for all people in a gym/fitness facility. Buffs, gaiters, and bandanas are not permitted as an acceptable face covering. Both the practitioner and client will wear a mask for the duration of the session. Please also wear a mask in all common areas.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Other protective equipment like gloves and shields are available and used as necessary.
HAND WASHING: We ask that you please wash your hands prior to your session to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
DISTANCING: At KNOSIS all Physical Therapy sessions are conducted in a private treatment room. To adhere to 6-foot distancing there will be 2 Pilates stations in the open movement studio.
ROOM AND EQUIPMENT CLEANING: Between each client session, all equipment is wiped down with EPA Listed N Disinfectant. There are cleaning supply stations throughout the space. We ask that if a client uses equipment unsupervised that they wipe down the area after use.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING: There is a regular schedule for deep cleaning by cleaning professionals as well as disinfecting of high contact points multiple times throughout the day with EPA Listed N Disinfectant.
COVID-19 TRAVEL GUIDELINES: The State of New York has set Travel Guidelines mandating a 14-day quarantine period for some out-of- state travelers. These guidelines have recently been updated to include testing options that will allow these out-of-state travelers to reduce their quarantine period down to 4 days.
