Knee & Leg

Knee pain and dysfunction can effect daily activities and athletic performance. At KNÓSIS, we work closely with your physician to accurately diagnose and treat your knee. Our evidence-based techniques and holistic approach ensure that we get to the root cause, not only eliminating pain but preventing recurrance. Whether you are recovering from surgery or an acute or chronic injury, we specialize in achieving optimal knee function.

Assesment:

At KNOSIS, our approach to knee pain and dysfunction begins with a detailed assessment. We listen to your history and understand your specific needs, taking into account past injuries, lifestyle, and activity levels. Our physical examination includes testing for joint stability, muscle strength and efficiency, flexibility, and dysfunctional movement patterns. We look at the whole body, identifying non optimal biomechanics in the pelvis, hip and foot. We get to the root cause of your knee pain and prescribe an individualized treatment plan.

Treatment:

During a 45-minute one-on-one session, our therapists utilize a combination of manual therapy, joint mobilization, and soft tissue techniques to alleviate pain and restore function. We emphasize restoring motor control, strength and efficiency to the muscles supporting the knee, such as the gluteals, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calf muscles. Our treatment plan includes specific therapeutic exercises performed under supervision and at home to enhance recovery and prevent recurrence of pain. We use innovative modalities, such as BFR, Shockwave (RPW). Pilates, whole body vibration, PC 360, and gravity fit to speed up the healing process and get you back faster.
