Vestibular Physical Therapy

At KNÓSIS, we work closely with your physician to treat dizziness and balance problems that can significantly impact your quality of life. Using advanced infrared video nystagmography (VNG) technology, we are able to identify the root cause of your symptoms and design a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs. Beyond reducing dizziness, our approach focuses on restoring your confidence, stability, and independence so you can safely return to the activities that matter most.

Conditions We Treat

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

  • Vestibular Hypofunction

  • Vestibular Neuritis

  • Vestibular Labyrinthitis

  • Cervicogenic Dizziness

  • Ménière’s Disease (management support)

  • Motion Sensitivity and Balance Disorders

Assessment

Your evaluation at KNÓSIS is comprehensive and designed to uncover the source of your dizziness. Using infrared video goggles (VNG), we record and analyze subtle eye movements that provide insight into how the inner ear and brain are working together. We perform positional testing to detect conditions such as BPPV, evaluate gaze stability and the vestibulo-ocular reflex to see how well your vision holds steady during head movement, and assess posture, gait, and balance during both static and dynamic tasks. These tests allow us to determine whether your dizziness is related to the vestibular system or the central nervous system, ensuring an accurate diagnosis and effective plan of care.

Treatment

Treatment sessions are 45 minutes, one-on-one with a certified vestibular physical therapist. Depending on your diagnosis, therapy may include specialized repositioning maneuvers for BPPV, manual therapy to address neck-related dizziness, balance and gait retraining to improve stability, habituation and gaze stabilization exercises to reduce motion sensitivity, and strategies for safe movement in daily life. Each program is individualized and supported with a home exercise plan to reinforce progress and accelerate recovery.

At KNÓSIS, our goal is to not only reduce your dizziness but to help you move forward with steadiness, confidence, and improved quality of life.
