Hands-on Pain Education (HOPE) is a transformative course designed for practising clinicians who want to advance their skills in integrating manual therapy, breathing, and pain science education into their clinical practice.
The HOPE course is a comprehensive two-day program designed for physiotherapists and manual therapists seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in managing pain through a hands-on, experiential approach. Led by Noigroup Director Luke Bongiorno, this course provides a unique opportunity to delve into the intricate world of pain, focusing on active delivery of pain education, exposure, emotional regulation, and practical (breathing) techniques.

Practising clinicians (especially physiotherapists/ physical therapists) and manual therapists with an interest in pain neuroscience education (PNE) and hands-on, experiential tools for treatment.

Luke Bongiorno

Originally an Australian physiotherapy graduate, Luke has practiced in the USA for the past 27 years. Luke quickly became one of New York City's most prominent physical therapists. Believing strongly in education being fundamental in optimizing patient recovery and performance, he practices a
'hands-on' approach combining advanced manual skills with neuromuscular/exercise and education.
Luke's extensive experience in acute and chronic pain and sports injuries has led to affiliations in the clinical education programs of Columbia University and Touro College. He treats professional and Olympic athletes, touring dance company members, and consults to the NBA. He recently was the lead author for "Pain Mechanisms in Sport" which has been distributed to all NBA, WNBA, and G-league teams.
