Singing, Presence & Nervous System Regulation

  • Knosis Wellness 7 West 22nd Street New York, NY, 10010 United States (map)

A neuroscience-informed journey into creativity, harmony and human connection

In a culture that often rewards speed, achievement, productivity, and constant doing, many people find themselves disconnected from the very qualities that make meaningful action possible: presence, creativity, connection, and a sense of inner coherence.

This experiential workshop explores how the nervous system shapes the way we perceive, communicate, create, and relate to others.

Drawing from neuroscience, somatic practices, vocal exploration, collective musical improvisation, and simple body percussion, participants are invited into a direct experience of how safety, attention, and embodied awareness can transform both our inner state and the quality of our interactions.

Rather than approaching music as performance, we approach it as a human experience.

An opportunity to remember that music is not only something we listen to, but something we create together.

Through singing, playful vocal games, simple rhythmic patterns, collective improvisation, and guided somatic practices, participants discover how music can become a powerful laboratory for presence, creativity, regulation, and belonging.

A special of workshop for New Yorkers

In a city shaped by creativity, innovation, leadership, and constant movement, the workshop offers an opportunity to explore not only what we do, but the state from which we do it. As our capacity for presence, regulation, and attunement expands, so does our ability to contribute, collaborate, lead, and create from a place of greater clarity, humanity, and coherence.

The intention is not to withdraw from action, but to discover how action can emerge from a nervous system that feels more grounded, connected, and available — bringing more harmony to our relationships, our communities, and the world we help shape.

Throughout the workshop, participants will:

  • Explore practical nervous system resources that support presence, regulation, and resilience

  • Experience how attention influences physiology and perception

  • Discover how sound, rhythm, and voice can become tools for grounding, openness, and authentic communication

  • Explore the relationship between safety, creativity, and expression

  • Experience collective musical practices that foster belonging, harmony, playfulness, and shared human experience

No musical or singing experience is required.

Everything is designed to be accessible, playful, and participatory.
